I love my money. My money loves me.
That is the one. It is short on purpose, and it is the affirmation I give people before any of the others, because it changes the relationship rather than the request.
Most money affirmations are orders. I am a millionaire. Money flows to me constantly. Ten thousand dollars is coming this month. You say it, some part of you knows it is not true yet, and the whole thing collapses.
An affirmation that argues with what you know does not work. One that describes a relationship you are building does.
The full song 🎵
I love my money, and my money loves me.
It flows to me freely and abundantly, because
I love my money, and my money loves me.
Sing it. Out loud. In the car, in the kitchen, at the drawer where you keep your twenty.
Singing does something saying does not. It is harder to be self conscious and harder to rush, and it gets into you sideways while your guard is down.
When to say it 🕰️
Not only when money arrives. Anybody can love money on payday.
Say it when you pay a bill. Say it when money leaves for something you did not want to spend it on. Say it when you check the balance and it is lower than you hoped.
That is where the work is. A relationship you only honour when it is going well is not a relationship yet.
Why most affirmations fail 🔍
Because they are used as a substitute for a practice rather than a companion to one.
Words on their own do not convince a nervous system of anything. Words plus evidence do. Say the sentence, and also put the twenty in the drawer and leave it there. The sentence gives it meaning. The drawer gives it proof.
I am not going to promise you a financial outcome for singing. What I will tell you is that people who can say it at a bill are different people six months later.
Why singing rather than saying 🎵
Because you cannot rush a song and you cannot mumble one convincingly.
Saying an affirmation takes three seconds and your mind can be elsewhere the whole time. Singing occupies more of you, and it slips past the part that wants to argue.
It is also harder to be self conscious and sincere at once, which is the whole logic of the equinox ritual, where you sing it while burning a dollar.
Why not the big ones 🚫
I am a millionaire. Ten thousand dollars is on its way this week. Money flows to me constantly.
Your nervous system knows those are not true yet, and every repetition is a small argument you lose. A relationship statement cannot be contradicted the same way, because it describes how you are choosing to treat something rather than making a claim about your balance.
How many times a day?
There is no number. At the drawer, at a bill, when money arrives, when money leaves. Occasions, not repetitions.
What if I do not believe it?
Then you are in the right place. It is not a report on how you feel, it is a relationship you are practising until it stops feeling like a lie.
Can I write it instead?
Yes, and writing it in the front of your journal is lovely. Say it out loud too when you can.
Does it have to be these words?
These are mine and I would start here. If you outgrow them, the test for your own is whether it describes a relationship rather than demanding a result.
Will saying it bring money?
Words alone, no. Words plus the drawer is a different proposition, because now the sentence has evidence standing beside it.
Pair it with 🔗
Say it while you visit your twenty, and again on the new moon when you are setting what you are planting.
